I have over 15 years’ experience in recruitment. In 2011, I founded Banzai People Limited, a specialist recruitment to recruitment business. I am often asked why I chose the name Banzai (which tends to be like marmite to most people I have since discovered!). I once read that Banzai means enthusiasm this is both a vital quality for recruiters and also a principle by which I run my business. People are our business so add the two together and Banzai People was born.
Prior to R2R I worked as a 360 IT contract recruiter and enjoyed good success working across a number of clients and billing over £0.5 million a year for a number of years. I was promoted through the ranks to Sales Director running the contract division. A key part of my role was to interview and identify talent so I gained an excellent understanding of what makes recruiters tick. This experience was my inspiration for moving into R2R.
After 10 years in IT, I feel I have found my true expertise in R2R. I genuinely love being a R2R I understand recruitment and the ups and downs that it can bring, the cultures, the different roles, the recruiter mentality and my experience can help you guide your next career move.
Chris is a Director and Co-Founder of Banzai People. Although now actively involved in a Recruiting capacity, Chris started his career within Finance and has worked as a Finance Director for a leading IT recruitment agency for 12 years. As such, Chris can offer valuable advice on the financial implications of a move. This includes commission scheme comparisons (he has a strange fascination with spreadsheets!) and equity scheme reviews. He can also offer experience on contract reviews to aid with any negotiations with current or future employers.
